Elena Mulas is the owner of Artessile, a carpet and handicraft lab located in Urzulei, Sardinia.
Elena has made a revolution in the art of weaving, combining traditional materials like rough woolen cloth with innovative materials like asphodel.
Her original design, “Su ballu tundu”, picturing seven couples of Sardinian dancers, has been selected in 2011 for the exhibition “150 mani, Collezione italiana, Centocinquant’anni di saper fare”.
In her laboratory, Elena sells unique and high-quality handicrafts, handmade with traditional techniques with natural materials such as wool, cotton, and linen.
Her products, including carpets, tapestries, cushions, bags, and backpacks, are an explosion of creativity and tradition.
